I’ve been looking for this for months now and finally it’s on YouTube. This German version of Ronnie and the Daytona’s “LIttle GTO” was the first time I saw a TV spot and went frantically searching for the original song (also on YouTube). Now where can I find the German VW band’s full version.

    I remember the group (or should I say gruppen?) as “Freaky Fritzi and the Autobahn Screamers” so we’re in the right ballpark. “Stormers” sounds better!

    Now, somebody, somewhere has this on tape… Please whoever you are, help us geezers who read in Car and Driver back in 1984 “They ought to give this car a medal or something!” and rushed out to buy the MGA of our day; post the MP3 we’ve been dreaming about.

  3. This is strictly from memory (and mine is flawed at best)…
    I was told that the “Kleiner GTI” song was performed by Freaky Fritzi and the Autobahn Stormers.

    That said, I have been scouring the web for several years trying to locate both the song and the video with no luck until the vid recently showed up on YouTube.

  6. Checked on 5.31 – link plays here – are you in another country other than the USA? Youtube sometimes has restrictions on what is available.
