Kai Danzberg is offering VINYL for you audiophiles

One of my long-covered artists here at Power Popaholic is Kai Danzberg. He put out his latest album Satellite earlier this year and is very much a fan of the Jellyfish, ELO, and Beatles pop styles. He even got Roger Joseph Manning, Jr. (Jellyfish) to be part of it. It is still available on Bandcamp. But he is now trying to build demand for those looking to buy a 10″ vinyl.

So Kai has started this crowd-funded project. This can only be achieved if 100 people order the record. You will only be charged at the end of the project. If the amount of money was not reached by that time, no one will be charged.

Glen Burtnik’s Summer of Love

“Relive the Memories, Share the Spirit and Celebrate the Songs of the Woodstock Generation, The Music That Changed the World.”

Glen Burtnik’s Summer of Love Concert series celebrates the 50th anniversary of the iconic 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Festival. I’ve been a huge Burtnik fan for a long time (The Orchestra, The Weeklings, Styx) and now he’s running a huge music festival that focuses on the iconic rock music from the period of time generally between the 1967 and 1969.  Shows run from July through August in selected cities. Visit www.summerofloveconcert.com to learn more.

Kai Danzberg Pledge Campaign

German power pop musician Kai Danzberg delivered a very Jellyfish-friendly album to the masses earlier this year. And now he’s crowdfunding a vinyl release — I’m sure many of you would like to hear this on a turntable. Please support this artist, especially since he’s made this album a FREE download. Jeff Whalen (Tsar) Pledge Campaign

The L.A. power pop group Tsar signed a deal with Hollywood Records and delivered their self-titled debut album in mid-2000. While the album earned critical praise and the band toured with Duran Duran, it was criminally overlooked by the public. Citing their primary influences as Guns ‘N Roses and the Monkees, Tsar’s music is a hybrid of post-grunge alternative, power pop, and glam rock. The group never got the label promotion it needed and split up in 2005.

But all is not lost, as Jeff Whalen (frontman and primary songwriter of Tsar) is back with his first solo album ever. “10 More Rock Super Hits” has everything you liked about Tsar and more. And its all brilliantly produced by power pop maestro Linus Of Hollywood (Nerf Herder, Bowling For Soup). Check out the Pledge Campaign!

Help these artists: Richard X. Heyman, Fernando Perdomo

Richard X. Heyman “Incognito”

RXH has been busy with both his solo work and playing with The Doughboys. If anyone represents the DIY independent spirit of power pop and rock and roll – it’s Richard. His new album promises to be mostly guitar-driven melodic pop (yay!) with some keyboard flourishes thrown in for a good measure or two. Help fund his new album! Visit: Kickstarter

Fernando Perdomo “The Golden Hour”

Fernando heads down to the famous Ardent Studios in Memphis to make his third full-length album. He will be using original equipment that was used by the band Big Star to make their amazing records in the 70s.To make this album the best effort ever, he is hiring Zach Ziskin for mixing and mastering and getting a full contingent of string players at Ardent.
