One of the brightest power pop albums this year was The Turnback’s Drawn in Chalk. My review earlier this year helped bring the band to the attention of David Bash, and as a result they played at the New York IPO. This was technically my most challenging interview, as you hear below the audio isn’t that great – but truth be told I interviewed him prior to the IPO show (11/2011) and the audio file was even worse, due to the lack of a proper mic (my fault DOH!). However you will hear how Todd got The Turnback started and how as a struggling actor he morphed into a musician and was even encouraged by acting legend Jack Nicholson!
