David Myhr (ex The Merrymakers) new album coming soon!

A while back the power pop band The Merrymakers broke up and lead singer David Myhr has been working on a new solo project ever since. For those interested, here is his new single “Got You Where He Wanted” from his upcoming album Soundshine due out later this year. Get the free track right here!

Where have the Merrymakers gone?

All the waiting… and for naught. The Merrymakers have broken up officially. But then again, this band hasn’t put out new material since 1998. The Swedish band was one of the best ELO/Jellyfish styled power pop bands ever, leaving us No Sleep ‘til Famous and Bubblegun as great albums. But don’t despair Power Popaholics, David Myhr is hard at work on a solo album expected soon. See and hear a little snippet  and some instrumentals.

Buddy Love returns!

The new single “Crying Town” is a totally new direction for Buddy Love, away from the DIY Power Pop (that brought them their notoriety in the 80’s) to “ahem” mature adult contemporary rock artists with songs that can stand the test of time and be listened to again and again. Their new album also called “Crying Town” will be released later this summer.

Bleu "Four" album preview

Bleu’s latest album “Four” is on it’s way. Jellyfish’s Roger Joseph Manning Jr. and Mike Viola assists here, and it all sounds amazing. Below is a rehearsal by MOGUL (with Bleu, Mike and Roger) on “Everything’s Fine.” The music is on SoundCloud. When these three guys get together, I get the fanboy goosebumps all the time.
